I was walking along the Kirkland, WA, waterfront on a beautiful summer day. The temperature was around 75 F, and a light breeze completed what I can only describe as my definition of "perfect weather." It reminded me of a day of early spring in Italy before the heat starts to re-explain why the entire country shuts down the entire month of August. As I was observing people experiencing much-needed outside freedom after a long period of semi-isolation, I noticed this lady enjoying the sunshine on a picnic table. She was the definition of comfort and peacefulness. There is a lot to learn from this image. It relaxes me just looking at it. The warm sun on her face, the long sleeves to cover from the sea breeze, and the shoes sitting on the ground next to the table tell a story. Peace, my friend. The waterfront in Kirkland, WA, is beautiful in summer. This attractive lady was walking along the edge at a brisk pace with wind in her hair, holding a phone as most people do these days. I shot this at F/1.2, ISO 100, with an 85mm prime lens. The bokeh in the background is soft, and the focus is sharp on the main subject. A small boat with three people can be seen on the left to balance the composition.
I was hanging out at the Bellevue (WA) Art Fair taking pictures when this lady in a striped dress and matching purse walked by. I took a shot the moment she turned around to give a puzzled look to a couple walking by.
